Laurie C. Hoes is an accomplished executive with over 25 years experience developing leadership, technical, organizational and governance solutions. She helps leaders develop business strategies by working with senior management to clarify their top agendas, develop effective implementation plans to mobilize the workforce to achieve sustainable results. She develops strategic business solutions focused on executive leadership and management development to increase profitability and growth in competitive markets. She is known for negotiating with and integrating competing portfolios within an organization’s silos. In addition to her professional career, Ms. Hoes has devoted over 25 years supporting women and minorities to enter, advance and become leaders in the private and public sectors.
As CEO of LcHoesGroup, Laurie is Lead for Strategy and Policy advising a variety of large- to small-sized businesses, government agencies and non-profits. She focuses on strategy and operations, organizational alignment and branding activities. Ms. Hoes works with the Intelligence Community (IC) focusing on business transformation, governance, policy and outreach.
Prior to starting LcHoesGroup, Ms. Hoes was a Senior Fellow at LMI focused on policy and governance related to business transformation for the IC in order to streamline business processes and practices to achieve cost savings and efficiencies. As Senior Associate and member of the Global Non-proliferation Team at Booz Allen Hamilton, Ms. Hoes provided strategic planning and interagency expertise to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in the Domestic Nuclear Detection Office. She was Program Manager of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency-sponsored Biological Weapons Proliferation Prevention Program.
As a Vice President at Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC), Laurie was the Manager of the Nuclear & Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) Planning and Response Department. She managed three profit/loss divisions and directed a staff of 70 spread across various states. In addition as a Program Manager, Ms. Hoes directed technical analyses for the Deputy Assistant to the Secretary of Defense for Nuclear and Chemical and Biological Defense Programs (DATSD (NCB)) for Nuclear Matters. A member of SAIC’s Corporate Employee Ethics Committee, she developed company ethics policy, mediated disputes and adjudicated ethics cases.
Ms. Hoes maintains Project Management Professional (PMP) and Six Sigma Green Belt certifications and has completed a Graduate Certificate in International Mediation and the Conflict Analysis Course at the United States Institute of Peace. She earned a Master of Arts (M.A.) in International Relations from The Johns Hopkins University Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) and earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in German from Howard University graduating summa cum laude and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.
